On January the 21st 2015, the arguably biggest swell of the winter hit the North Shore of Oahu with full force, making Waimea Bay the place to be for adrenaline junkies. By mid-day the wave was packed just like a classic Pipeline lineup.
Waimea Bay is maybe the only place in the world that sees big waves being shared with up to 10 people. It is this way mainly because it has always been like this, and is most likely to stay like that for a long time. This, and the fact that this is one of the few surfable spots when swells hit the 25+ ft mark on the North Shore make Waimea Bay so special.
